Patrick Swayze

I was sadden to hear about the death of Patrick Swayze yesterday.... he died Monday at 57 after waging a valiant public battle against pancreatic cancer.

He was not the greatest actor that lived, but to so many young woman he was the hero who rescued baby, "no one puts Baby in the corner," and the passionate love to Molly in Ghost .... and can anyone really forget the scene of Molly sitting making her pottery vase and Patrick (as a ghost) behind her with the the song Unchained Melody playing .... was there a dry eye in the house!!!!???

It's hard to accept that the guy with the rough-hewn features and carnal soulfulness who hoisted the likes of 1989's testosterone-heavy hoot-fest Road House and 1990's weeper Ghost and Dirty Dancing into the category of pop-culture classics is gone.

Barbara Walters asked if he were scared, Swayze said to Walters: "I will be either truthful or stupid and say no, but immediately when I say that, I say yes I am. I don't know what's on the other side."

Patrick I for one will miss you and eveytime I channel surf and come across one of you movies I will stop and think of you.

I hope the "other-side" is good!!

RIP ...

I too was saddened to see that he had lost his battle---so hard fought! I think he was a lovely actor...If he never did anything else, he did "GHOST" and was very very touching.
May he Rest In Peace.

He is one I really dreaded to see go when I heard of his illness.
I loved Patrick in so many things he did (hilarious on SNL with the late Chris Farley) and will always stop and watch when he is on TV.
Good tribute!

I choose to believe his line from "Ghost" - the love you have inside, you take it with you.
